SKILLS - PASSING

Player shows good technique with the following passes.

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT - Player cannot pass the ball successfully. Player does not follow through on pass. Player cannot get the pass to teammates. Player does not make sure their teammate is ready for the ball.
FAIR - Player can sometimes pass the ball successfully. Player sometimes follows through the pass. Player sometimes make sure their teammate is ready for the ball.
GOOD - Player passes the ball correctly. Player follows through on pass. Player usually completes the pass to a teammate. Player usually makes sure their teammate is ready for the pass.
EXCELLENT - Player passes the ball with precision and accuracy. Player passes so that their teammate can receive it with ease.

SKILLS - CATCHING

Select which best describes the players catching ability:
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT - Player cannot catch the netball. Has difficulty pivoting to next direction.
FAIR - Player can catch the netball while moving. Does not have good control. Cannot pivot without stepping.
GOOD - Player can catch the netball, shows good control and proper positioning. Player pivots and finds new direction. Able to pivot while assessing next passing option.
EXCELLENT - Player can catch the netball, pivot to the new direction and deliver the ball successfully.

SKILLS - ATTACK

Select which best describes the players ability:
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT - Player does not comprehend the concept of attack. Player does not run into position to receive a ball.
FAIR - Player can sometimes run into attack position and receive the ball.
GOOD - Player shows an understanding of the role of attack and makes position to receive the ball.
EXCELLENT - Player can use attack skills confidently and correctly in the course of the game

SKILLS - DEFENCE

Select which best describes the players ability:
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT - Player does not comprehend the concept of defence. Player does not defend.
FAIR - Player can sometimes take up the defending position and intercept a ball.
GOOD - Player can defend a ball from the correct distance and can attempt interceptions.
EXCELLENT - Player can use defending skills in the course of the game. The player intercepts the ball and makes turnovers for their team.

SKILLS - SHOOTING

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT - Player cannot shoot the ball successfully. Player does not follow through. Player is off balance or shooting ball from chest level.
FAIR - Player can sometimes shoot the ball successfully. Player sometimes follows through. Player uses two hands to shoot ball. Seems balanced with ball above eye height.
GOOD - Player shoots the ball correctly. Player follows through. Player adopts correct position to shoot from above the head, is well balanced. Player usually successful in shooting.
EXCELLENT - Player shoots the ball demonstrating the correct technique. Player is balanced and follows through to the ring afterwards. Player demonstrates excellent accuracy..
